I am not familiar with SS benefits at all. But I was wondering if a person who can no longer play for a living is eligible for social security benefits. Does anyone know anything about this??? |

Hi MarySS disability is hard to get but I'd encourage you to give it a try. You'll find some helpful information regarding applying for disability on the International Dystonia On-Line Support Group website http://www.dystonia-support.org Just scroll down to the Disability Information link on the home page.
I believe that the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation also has some information up on this on their website http://www.dystonia-foundation.org
Good luck!
Anne
