Edit
Hi everyone.

I'm new to this forum and have a question that's been bugging me for a while, so I'm hoping someone can help. I have Dopa-Responsive Dystonia and have noticed, over many years, that my dystonia symptoms are worse at certain times of my menstrual cycle. About 2wks after the end of my period, my speech gets worse and my dystonia movements are more pronounced. It is more difficult for me to do things and talking can really be quite laboured, at times. It can last nearly a week then, a few days before my period starts, I'm back to my normal self. I live in the UK and have asked this question to the UK's national dystonia organisation, but they've not heard of any other woman who has the same symptoms during the menstrual cycle. So, I'd really like to know if anyone on this forum has the same kind of problems. It would just be good to know I'm not alone on this.

Thanks!

Akasha
