My mother also had MS, but I am the only one in my rather large family who has any type of movement disorder. My MDS told me that there is no link. I was always afraid that I would be stricken with MS too. Once I passed the age that MS usually strikes I thought I was home-free. The dystonia came at me right out of the blue!
