What does the future hold?

Can anyone explain to me what to expect? I know the answer to that but maybe just some insight as to why so many adults are sruggling so badly with dystonia? My son was diagnosed at age 8 along with 4 cousins. One has had DBS at age 14 and another is having it July 1 at age 8. Does this not work for adults? My son is 8 and still controlled with meds...he's "mild" right now. Can I expect it to progress? CanI relax because he hasn't progressed like my niece? So many uncertains..it's like going on a trip to ? with no map. Kelly
