Hi all! I just got back home after being in Iowa for a week taking care of my mother who had a total knee replacement. It was quite the fun with both of us using our walkers, we had a traffic jam in the kitchen! My walker was considered the "Cadillac" model(4 wheeels) since I will probably be using it the rest of my life with dystonia while my mom's was a simple, temperary one (2 wheels) and she had w/c envy!! Anyway, my daughter just moved home from college after finals and she couldn't wait to show me her mother's day gift to me. She got a tatoo of the blue ribbon signifying dystonia with the slogan "Freedom to Move" above it. She had it placed on her left back since that is where my dystonia is the worst! I couldn't believe she did that for me and I am so touched. She said that even though she isn't home with me to support me, she will always be supporting me no matter where we each are. Just wanted to share that since I am still in tears about it. I guess I did something right in raising her (she's only 19 year old!)
Sue, one proud mama!
