hi kelly, dystonia can come about at any age. for people that have had problems for many years...there was no such thing as dystonia. and many have been mis_diagnosed and treated with many dif kinds of meds...only to create more problems. my very first neuroligist told me that i was born this way....i was in early 30's at time...and..believe me..i was totally annoyed. i was in my late 40's when finally dx'ed with dystonia.thank goodness these young people have been given an answer and a solution!
