Hi Tracy, carbidopa-levo, or sinemet would relieve symptoms if you had dopa-responsive dystonia. Which type of dystonia were you diagnosed with? There are many types of oral medications which a physician may prescribe. Not all work for all people and usually it's a trial and error method. Botox injections are also prescribed if yours is a focal dystonia, affecting one or more muscle groups. I have listed the link to the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation website. It's a good place to read up on the different types of dystonia and other issues. The "Find a Healthcare Professional" link will list doctors in New Mexico or surrounding areas that treat various types of dystonia. Welcome! Paul
