I was diagnosed in Feb with truncal dystonia at the U of Cal, neuro center in SF. They put me on klonopin (small dose increasing each week) which has worked wonders for the mental aspect. Takes away the depression and anxiety. Now they have incorporated small dose of sinemet which may or maynot work. But I am functional with klonopin. I walk with two canes in public and walk bent over around the house but able to drive, sit and do most things (had to give up golf but allows more time to fish). Good luck..........find a doc that has experience with dystonia!
