Thanks for your help, Vettey-
Yes my doctor is a neurologist, trained at NIH in Bethesda in movement disorders. She said my dystonia is functional(?) but no other names. I am trying to educate myself on the types. My symptoms started when I was walking for exercise in FL where I was living. I just fell backwards for no reason, and that started pain in my legs, soft areas in joints, and toes that curl and cause unbeliable pain. Now it has moved into my neck and shoulders, all my muscle groups seem to be affected now. I also began to have terrible migraines at the same time I don't know if this is related. I was orginally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia at the mayo clinic. And am being treated for depression. Geez, I just don't know. I will keep searching, I just refuse to give up. On thing that seems true to people with Dystonia, we seem to be strong and hopeful. Thanks again for your reply..have a good day. Tracy |
