Hi, This is only a guess on my part. There is a blood test for a dystonia gene (DYT1 gene) that can cause generalized torsion dystonia. I would guess that is the test you had today (blood draw). My question to you is: why did you not ask what this blood draw was specifically for? I allow no tests to be performed on my body unless I know what each test is. I guess I don't give the doctors much say in what they 'will' do...they have to sell me on any ideas they may have first. But I've had dystonia for over 50 years so maybe that is why I am so proprietary regarding my own body! Take Care, Mary Beth |
