One of the main differences between DBS for Parkinsons and DBS for Dystonia is the effect of stimulation on Parkinsons patients can be seen instantaneously. However on Dystonia patients in can take weeks if not months to see the effects of stimulation. Also I agree with Ramona it depends on what your definition of "success" is. Do you mean small improvements or 100% Dystonia free? Either way there are no "success rate" statistics. There are BFM rating scale improvement statistics. Andi |
