Hi Karen, "she is also the head of the school". Eeek! If she represents the school, how awful is that for good public relations! I'm just being nasty for a moment, please excuse! Having raised my 3 kids as a mom with generalized dystonia, I'd say that whatever approach will cause your son the least trouble might be the best approach. When my middle son was in 4th grade, he came home one day with a bruise on his face. He said it had happened in basketball at lunch time. Actual story was that another child had made fun of me and how I walked in front of some children and my son defended me (and probably took the worst of the beating). I didn't pursue it and it didn't happen again. That teacher (and I use the term loosely) needs some education but it may mean more if your son does the educating! Good Luck, Mary Beth |
