Be calm. Pediatric doses of most neuro meds are much higher than adults can tolerate, but doses are changed very slowly - they call it "titrating". I recall increasing my son's dose by 1/2 a pill every 3rd day, pausing for a few days or a week every couple of weeks until we reached the highest level he could tolerate without side effects. When my son was younger (he is how 24, but has had dystonia since he was 7) his doses were very high - at one point over 100mg of Artane a day, plus similarly high doses of Baclofen, Sinemet and Valium. When he hit puberty all of the doses had to be cut dramatically because of side effects that did not effect him as a child. Jeff
