Hi Couple of questions on behalf of my sister. My sister has had dystonic reactions following medications. She also has epilepsy that may have been triggered by medication. When she was at my house and had quite sore muscles as a result of seizure. I gave her some voltaren which was quite good in relieving the pain. She went to her chemist and requested voltaren, but was told that it wasn't suitable for her due to her medications. Does voltaren cause dystonic reactions? Secondly, my sister had a seizure this evening. Duing the seizure, her jaw and hands were quite dystonic looking. When she came out of the seizure, her hands and face (jaw and tongue) were posturing-dystonia style for another 7-10 minutes. She has had seizures for quite awhile, minus the dystonia. And this seizure was quite similar, except for the extreme jaw movement. And the ongoing dystonia following. Has anybody else had experience with seizures/epilepsy and dystonia? Thanks, Vettey P.S. For those who know my history (DRD), my sister does not share my genetics and therefore her dystonia is not related to mine. |
