Hi Karen, I had a similar incident happen to my daughter the beginning of last school year. Like you I felt bad for my child because she ended up taking the blunt of the receptionists attitude. So what I did was called the woman and deeply appologized for my terrible penmanship Ect... and explained what the situation was, by the time I was done killing her with kindness she was the one who felt terrible and was appolagizing to me.
