Hi Ramona, I'm not sure what it could be but I have gastroparesis and have met three other people that have problems with either vomiting or gastroparesis who have dystonia. You should definitely see a gastroenterologist to be evaluated for stomach or esophogeal disorders. I have both gastroparesis and small bowel dysmotility and basically can no longer use my gut. I am currently being fed intravenously. I don't want to scare you as it usually isn't this bad for people and I went several years with more minor problems like you describe. My bowel problems which began as severe constipation were also misdiagnosed as IBS for many years. Now they are referring to it as small bowel dysmotility. Hang in there and know that you are not alone with this symptom. There are some tests that they can do to evaluate the GERD during a meal and something similar to follow the food through your stomach and GI tract. Basically a real time x-ray. This is how I was diagnosed. It was a hard test for me because I have such trouble keeping the food down, but I'm glad that I was able to get a successful diagnosis. I also have pain in my stomach that is associated with the gastroparesis and much worse when I eat. Anyway good luck to you and I would definitely suggest the specialist...they were great at getting me evaluated and diagnosed. You can read more about my adventures on my blogs:
Take care,
