My dystonia came on after the following ...My son accidentally spilled a gallon of paint on to the hardwood floors. In an effort to keep it from damaging the floor, I got on my hands and knees and started wiping the floor up vigorously. I think I must have damaged something, because after that, is when the dystonia kicked in. I wondered if anyone else had it happen after some kind of physical activity. I know it sounds strange, but the way I was holding my neck and shoulder while scrubbing seems to have triggered the dystonia.
