Congrats, Rosie, on getting your diagnosis and good luck with treatments and genetic testing. So this is the home stretch... good for you! I do have a question, according to your post we have had virtually every test the same except for CTS, what does a CT scan show that a MRI doesn't show? My insurance is not the greatest right now so if I don't need both I would like to avoid it. If they haven't figured it out by now, I'm not sure they will. So what does the genetic testing rule in or out as far as DBS? Does it help them program the sensors or guide them what areas of the brain to probe during surgery, or what? I sure hope your new meds and other treatments work first! Be sure you get all the testing and treatments possible before making such a big decision as DBS. I know it's successful in some cases, but it's still risky. How's your hot yoga going? Day 36 is almost over! Rosie, I hope you will be well. It's good to have a diagnosis, but you don't have a diagnosis you have a disease/disorder and that takes time to to get used to and figure out what next? I am glad you are done with step 1.
