Edit
I have had countless physical therapists and three have said they have had experience with dystonia. I have been highly dissapointed or hurt by all. i think to be a good physicla therapist for dystonia you also have to work with brain plasticity and understand what are good triggers for the brain and what are bad triggers for the brain and when and where you can push a little harder.

i have only found this knowledge through myself with very good yoga teachers (who focus very keenly on alignment) and through listening very carefully to my body (four years and counting). Cheaper than PT too. this has not stopped my dystonic symptoms or stopped the progression but it has definitley improved my posture, gait, pain management skills and sense of wellbeing.

I am however gonna try this new therapist who uses something called the Feldenkreis method which has had some success with dystonia patients. it is a mind body treatment. of course not covered.
