Dystonia is where the brain sends an erratic signal to a muscle or muscle groups, causing overactive muscle reactions and spasms. Botox, DBS and oral medications try to make the signal more "normal" through individual means, thus reducing spasms and trying to get the muscles to function better. If you're at the lower end of certain vitamins or minerals, you might feel poorly, but this doesn't have anything to do with your dystonia. Paul
