Cervical dystonia came on within 2-4 hours of being rear-ended. Low speed accident but knew something was wrong straight away as it was like an 'electrical shock' went up my neck along the spine region. Have antecollis with problems in right shoulder and jaw - initially diagnosed TMJ until the CD was finally figured out several consultants later. The more I read about Dystonia - the more questions I have. Dystonia is a description of a physical manifestation - many causes - many symptoms - would just love a successful treatment AND a break from the pain. I try to focus on the treatment options and moving forward rather than on the cause. Look after yourself and keep posting - we learn so much on this blog AND know we are not alone - lots of good and helpful people out there - thank goodness for the web or we could feel quite alone.
