If it was your first treatment, it is expected that it will wear off sooner. The doctors generally start with a low dose, and then gradually increase over the next few treatments. The goal is to have the dosage and injection sites fine tuned within 3-4 treatments, so at 3 month intervals, it could take 1 year to get good results.

Since you had some improvement, it is a good sign that the Botox will work for you. My first round the benefits only lasted about 3 weeks. Still waiting to see what the results will be on the second round.
