Hi, Caliwoman! Thanks for the idea. I find myself wanting to crunch something often and, unfortunately, the only thing truly crunchy at work is peanut M&Ms. I will try your pickle approach and maybe carrots, celery, cucumber, etc and see if I can get the same benefit w/o the resulting weight gain. Not long ago, I did what all school girls fear! I willing pulled my pony tail for quite awhile to make the pain in my head, neck, and shoulders go away and the spasms and shaking subside. So, next time your muscles are contracting "up" try pulling your hair "down". As with all sensory tricks, this provided only short term relief and may not work for everyone. We haven't talked in awhile, but I have been walking and getting out more, and I have managed to go swimming a few times.
Be blessed and be beautiful! Love, Stuck Neck |
