Hi everyone , its been a while. as most of you know I have been trying to find a doctor that will help me with my dystonia,and not give me another year of NO ANSWERS! as well as my son who also has dytonia.Well i found a great new doctor Ilike her attitude and knowledge,she is a movement specialist and I have been to see her twice,I waited months to get in and it was worth it.Ireally went in with my questions written down and allot of your posts helped me to ask good questions so THANKS.
she is younger and really on her A game . she got me into physical therapy asap.I start today . i have developed severe spasms in my legs and now use a cane,also my hands tremor and cramp so i no longer can paint ,which is my love and only income.it has been a long hard summer,But i have hope she really is willing to listen and not rush me into a bunch of old drugs that don't work. I hope therapy will build the strength so i can walk with out fear of falling.i started Baclofen for the spasms..they are going to also do DNA study ,Ive a Parkinson's tremor in hands and legs ,but since my son also suffers from a similar dystonia we are ruling out more causes.have been thinking allot about all of you in our prayers and hope your staying strong.
