The Dystonia Bulletin Board is dedicated to the memory of Larry Bienstock (deceased February 1997) who started the alt.support.dystonia newsgroup in late 1994 or early 1995. Interestingly, several times during the first year of its existence, we did not think the newsgroup would survive as there did not seem to be the critical mass of members required to generate enough postings to keep people coming back. Larry was always interested in moving onward and upward so we know he would be pleased at the evolution of the bulletin board.
