This is excellent progress and shows what can be achieved with the right approach. I firmly believe that the correct attitude combined with a manageable amount of attentive, sub-threshold playing is the way.

In my opinion I think it is essential to focus on recovery, as you eventually did, rather than trying to carry on with some regular playing alongside recovery. "Put your repertoire on ice", as Paul said in one of his posts recently (I hope I quoted correctly).

The introduction of your little finger is a good example of trying to come at the problem from a different angle. I wonder if it strenghtened the distinction in the brain between the little finger and the ring finger thus enhancing the ring finger's representation?

Keep at it and I'm sure you'll get there.
