Hi
I have been reading the posts of hkc and find that he talks about a sort of threshold after which the dystonic movements start. In my case it is more of a feeling rather any dystonic movements. The fingers seem sort of rigid ,and this kind of feeling is always connected with certain phrases. On playing the same phrases slow and with least possible pressure, I seem to be able to play it well, without the 'dystonic feeling'. Now once this point is discovered, what does one do to establish the normal feeling. I am not sure if repeating the same phrases slowly and with least pressure (under the threshold) many times would help reinforce the correct patterns. I remember reading in one of hck's posts about his suggestion to a violinist to do the same thing.
To be specific, how long is it advisable to keep playing the phrases in this way.
