Edit
Hi, I am new to this board. My son actually suffers from myoclonus dystonia. It is a combination of tremors and dystonia. His dystonia is quite generalized and he is only 10, but I am wondering if playing the trombone would trigger any more symptoms since he is already prone to it.
In regards to Michael J Fox, I am not good with computers but if you would like the link to the Oprha show there is one posted on the dbb on page 5 for that. There is aslo a link to Rogers Hartman on the today show on page 4. Today there was a posting regarding Billy McLaughlin on a tv show but no link has been put up as of yet.
As far as Michael Fox's dystonia, as I understand it, dystonia is a secondary factor with parkinsons. Once you have had conditions such as parkinsons, cp, ms. dystonia symptoms often set in after a period of time.
The fact that he can skate did not suprise me because with my sons dystonia, he walks on his ankles and the skates give him alot of support and he is very comfortable with this and his whole body relaxes. He can skate much better than he can walk. The same goes for skiing, he is absolutely amazing on skies.
Good luck with those web links, Bye for now, Cathy
