I also have wondered about the possibility of my son getting embouchure dystonia as well from playing the trombone. He only plays at school, and should practice at home everyday as well, but I hesitate to encourage him because he already has dystonia in his eyes, arms and legs. The neurologists do not seem to be concerened and asked him to bring along his trombone to the next appointment. As parents its hard not to worry about these things. Best wishes, Cathy
