dystonia talk

Edit
I'm a string player, with dystonia in my left ring finger. I've not been able to play for about 7 years now. I've tried different treatments which didn't work out and which I stopped trying, given jobs, family blah... But I'm now hoping to take treatment more seriously.

One real barrier is being able to chat about different treatments, experiences etc. This board is wonderful, (although I've not made much of a contribution for a while now, I've 'lurked' for years) but it's not the same as chatting face to face. The most help (and inspiration) I've received has been from just talking to people who have or have had dystonia. But there isn't anyone in my area (in the UK) to talk to about such things. However, I'm in Vancouver for a few months and wondered if anyone here (who uses the list) is from Vancouver and fancied meeting up to chat about such things (over lunch, coffee, beer, etc).

I hope this doensn't count as an abuse of the board - just a passing thought.

Cheers,

Clive
