Possibly because at home, by yourself, you don't mind if you sound bad, yet you're afraid of sounding bad infront of others. Therefore you set up to avoid sounding bad rather than letting go and simply playing. I had the exact same issues! Kenny Werner said, "You can only truly play with complete freedom when you let go of the need to sound good." All the best! |
