hi jake. hkc58 on this forum wrote a paper on his recovery that I think you should read. unfortunately, i can't find it here anymore. maybe he'll see this and repost it. retraining has been very helpful for me while at times very difficult. if you search my posts, you'll find some of the techniques that have helped me. i believe that guitarist has also posted some great stuff worth experimenting with. the cruelest thing about this condition for me so far has been that one day i can make lots of progress, but the next day it can seem to be completely gone. but this is only when i look at things day to day rather than week to week or month to month. on the long term, my progress has been huge and i'm almost there now after 4 years. that's not to say it necessarily has to take that long either. i did a lot of things through trial and error that didn't work. anyway, try to be patient about your progress and as you get to know your body and where your tensions are, don't be afraid of being creative in finding exercises to overcome these tensions.
best,
dave
