Hi Brian, just saw your Resources post and it looks like you might've answered your own question already. What made me say that it was obvious wasn't just the fact that I'd posted about it previously but also that 2 posts back from your 'consensus' post there is one from daved which addresses the issue - 'by not allowing the dystonic movements by often times reinforcing the opposite movement, i've had great success'.

My first post about using tension from opposing muscles was on the 26th of May last year but there's also some discussion of it in the 'recent diagnosis' post from the 19th of April this year and others. I'd be interested to know how it fits in with your concept of fighting it.

What I like about the results is that as well as leaving me with really good conscious access to my proprioceptive and kinaesthetic senses it's left me capable of doing things that I couldn't do even before I started having FD problems like certain types of fast passage work. A little bit obsessed with how it all works but better off nevertheless.
