seems to be my experience so far. maybe with the varying degrees of severity in dystonia, some people can jump straight to the "letting go" part and have success with it. i still don't think anyone can say anything definitive yet as to what works for all people all the time. the only common thread i've seen in all success stories is learning to relax the unwanted tensions. and the methods for doing so most likely have to be tailored to the individual's specific symptoms and temperment.
