Hi Greg,
I agree that we have to know first which fingers are causing the problem. In my case, I am not really sure. As I've posted before, my index finger seems to get stiff and my thumb becomes very tense and curls towards the palm when I do index and middle finger plucking alternations(apoyando). I would think the thumb is the dystonic finger and index finger is compensating. What is really confusing me is that, when I do slow index and middle finger plucking alternations, it is my middle finger that feels weird..it's like I have to exert extra effort to push the middle finger past the string when plucking, which probably causes my index and middle finger alternation to be uneven. Please see video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WxeHvlfia8 Please help identify which is the dystonic finger and which is the compensating finger. Thanks in advance Manuel Modified by manuel at Fri, Jul 02, 2010, 11:23:36 |
