Edit
Hi Brian
Thank you so much for your very helpful reply. It is much appreciated.
The point I am now at is I'm waiting for my G.P. to receive the consultant's thoughts on my hand after the X-ray I had.
That hopefully he will get tomorrow [Tues]. I have an appointment booked with G.P. on Wednesday. I do know he won't have a clue what is going on, but I want him to trawl back through my notes 7 years ago to see when I first saw my old G.P. about it and was told osteo. Which I now know it isn't.
I am pretty certain it was shortly after my diagnosis of cervical dystonia some 7 years ago.
Then on Moday I have my 13 weekly botox appointment with my neuro so I shall show him my pinky and see what he thinks.

The finger is permanently curled all the time. Can't force it straight like I used to.
The Big Question is, is it solely a tendon shortening problem. Or is it muscles affecting the tendons.

I am more than happy to have botox in wrist plus more but would need physio too. Luckily I am a "good" patient for physio. I use the Alexander Technique to good effect elsewhere. But although I can make mental connections with the finger and side hand and forearm, at the moment, nothing moves!

Botox in my sterno and splenius capitus muscles for my C.D. are very effective combined with therapy and supplements I take. I have a very good quality of life these days compared to so many who seem to struggle a lot.
When it hit, I had to give up on Sea Kayaking. That had always provided big challenges physically and mentally. The new challenge became beating C.D.!!!

Linda
